TERMS AND CONDITIONS - October 2006

Within these Terms and Conditions the name "The Company" refers to the owners and publishers of this website, and the name "browser" refers to people who view this website on a computer connected to the internet. This name also refers to those who view it in any other form: such as a printed version of its pages. The "Content" refers to all text, all photographs, all drawings and illustrations, and all symbols contained in this website.

Please note:
This website is still under development, and these Terms and Conditions are currently in their provisional form. This means they may, at this time, be disjointed and incomplete. Please also note the descriptions of walks depicted on this website, at this time, are also incomplete. At some time in the future I intend to provide greater details of walks, and give assistance, perhaps using a sketch map and symbols, to help people decide whether a walk is suitable for them to take. Until then it is entirely the responsibility of the browser to decide whether a walk shown or implied is suitable for them to take. Please also read the other Terms and Conditions, and the Disclaimer.

It is my intention to publish accurate and useful information on this website, and to present this information in such a way that will enable browsers to gain enjoyment from viewing the site. I also intend that others may wish to gain enjoyment from visiting places depicted herein, e.g., by retracing a walk I have taken.

Subject to other third party restrictions you may access, print and download the Content onto electronic, magnetic, optical or similar storage media provided that:
1. such activities are only for private research or study; and
2. none of the images or associated text are modified in any way; and
3. the images and text contained therein are not separated from each other in any way; and
4. no part of the Content is used for any commercial or non-commercial purpose except those outlined above, without first having obtained written permission from The Company to do so. The extent to which you are allowed to use such material is described in the agreement made between you and The Company. In all cases, however, you will be required to display or reproduce the Content in a complete manner. Every reasonable effort has been made to contact respective individuals, organisations or appropriate authorities to seek permission or establish the right to publish photographs and imagery where permission may be required. Photographs are published in good faith and no liability shall be accepted for the consequences of browsers choosing to visit depicted locations and commercial establishments. Browsers are advised to check that the suggested walks do not breach local by-laws or private land trespass.

Every walk described in this website has been walked completely and without difficulty. However, The Company is not responsible for the continued existence of any path, track, roadway or any other place that may be described either directly or by implication on this website. Nor is The Company responsible for the long-term condition or maintenance of any such path, track, roadway etc. Therefor, The Company accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any consequences that might arise in the event a described walk may not be completed due to the route no longer existing, or being blocked or diverted by any impairment. Such impairment includes a path being blocked by brambles or some other obstruction, or by flooding, or by the closure or removal of a path.

Due to the existence of gates and stiles, steep slopes and rough uneven ground, many of the walks described on this website will not be suitable for wheelchair users and some will not be suitable for those pushing young children in pushchairs. Every effort has been made during the preparation of each walk for publication herein that clear indication is shown, perhaps using symbols, to assist the public to decide whether or not a walk is suitable for them.

The Company accepts no responsibility for any errors or omissions that may occur in the production or maintenance of this website, or for any consequences which may arise either directly or indirectly from any such errors or omissions. All information published on this site is done so in good faith and with the greatest care and attention to detail. All responsibility regarding the use of material or actions taken as a consequence of browsing this site rests entirely with the browser.
